Machine pieced and hand appliquéd using the needle turn appliqué method. Most of the fabrics used in this quilt are Japanese fabrics. The centre medallion has an appliquéd tulip design. The light blocks have orange peel flowers appliquéd onto each block with a circular centre appliquéd to give added colour to the quilt. A great way to use up small pieces of fabric in the appliqué. A border frames the quilt nicely before the outer border. A meandering pattern has been used for the quilting design.
